Pairings: Jared/Jensen, some Jared/Sandy
Warnings: Language, possible smut, hard drug use!
Disclaimer: Ye...yea...nope don't own them. I am not insinuating Chris and Steve are drug peddlers either, it is merely for this fic that they are supplying Jensen so I can create angsty situations which lead to manschmexin.
Rating: 15
Summary: Jensen can't handle being around Jared anymore, not when his feelings are so strong. So when hiatus starts and Jared notices Jensen drawing away and acting strange can he find out what's happening in time to save him?

PROLOGUE
Jensen pushed the door of the club open, closing his eyes as the familiar smells and sounds reverberated around him.
His eyes swept over the bodies gyrating on the dance floor, ignoring the inviting looks he was getting from women and men around the room. They weren’t why he was here.
He strode confidently through the mass of bodies. His eyes were fixed on one certain person who was leaning against the wall, his eyes shut, and an expression of pure bliss on his face.
Jensen silently slipped through the remaining crowd of people and leant next to the man on the wall.
“Hey Steve,” He said softly in the guy’s ear. The other man’s eyes snapped open.
“Jensen,” He drawled, his pupils the size of plates, “Hey dude, you are missing out on some good stuff here.”
“Not for long,” Jensen replied, casually slipping a wad of bills out of his pocket and into Steve’s awaiting hand. Steve grinned at him lazily, and gestured Jensen to follow him as he walked away towards a door at the back of the club.
Jensen followed, trying not to seem too eager, and wishing the niggling sensation that this was wrong would go away.
“It better be good this time,” Jensen warned Steve as he followed him into the storage room.
“Relax man. It’ll be better than good. You’ll fly so high, you’ll never want to come down,” Steve grinned widely at him and reached into a cupboard to fetch the syringe and the vial.
Jensen watched in anticipation as Steve carefully pierced the vial with the needle and drew the liquid up into the tube.
He hadn’t meant to get hooked on the stuff, it had been a stupid mistake, but here he was and there was nothing he could do about it. Not with his crap willpower anyway.
“Alright, you’re all set,” Steve said handing him the needle, “You going to do it here?”
“Just give me the needle,” Jensen almost snapped, holding out his hand.
“Alright dude, just chill,” Steve handed over the needle and leant back against the wall, lighting up a cigarette and taking a long draw of the smoke, then blowing it out slowly watching the patterns it made as it curled up to the ceiling and disappeared.
Jensen crouched down on the floor and grabbed the shoelace Steve held out to him, tying it around his arm so that his veins stood out. Taking a deep breath, he smiled briefly at the thought of the euphoria that was to come and plunged the needle into his skin, hissing slightly at the pressure.
“Alright dude,” Steve said when Jensen had pushed the plunger down, “Let’s get back out there.”
Jensen felt his head go heavy, and it fell back against the wall of its own accord, “Wait a minute man, you go out, I need some time.”
Steve cast a glance over him and replied, “Yeah whatever, don’t be too long or I’ll think you’re stealing from me.”
Jensen just sighed as the extreme feeling of calm started to wash over him, and a lazy smile spread its way across his face. He was ready to go face the room now. Hell he’d even be ready to face Jared in this state.
Normally the thought of Jared would get his heart racing and his cock semi-hard, but in his relaxed state he just giggled slightly, and promptly forgot what he had been thinking about.
Instead he thought back to how it had all started, about two months ago.
TWO MONTHS AGO
“So man, we’ll keep in touch over hiatus right?” Jared asked, slinging a long arm over Jensen’s shoulders and squeezing.
Jensen almost shivered at the feeling and kicked himself inwardly; he could not let on how Jared’s touch made him feel. Not now, and not ever.
“Yeah of course man,” He replied with forced enthusiasm.
“Great, because me and Sandy are planning on having a few nights out ya know? We could get Tom and Mike and
Jensen couldn’t help but smile at the excited tone in his co-star’s voice but an icy feeling of gloom settled over him at the mention of
Oh yeah, his co-star was straight and had a girlfriend, how was it he kept forgetting that?
It was with the best timing that his phone rang and he flipped it open, grateful for whatever distraction was offered from Jared’s proximity, “Hello?”
“Dude!”
“Chris, man, good to hear from you,” Jared looked at him questioningly but he shrugged away from his hold and walked off in a different direction, “What’s up?”
“When are you getting to LA? Me and Steve have plans,” Chris’s voice was excited and Jensen couldn’t help but smile at the thought of seeing his two friends again.
“I’ll be there tomorrow, we’re flying out late tonight,” He replied as walked off in the direction of his trailer leaving Jared talking to a PA.
“We?” Chris asked, curiosity lacing his voice, “Danneel’s not with you is she?”
Jensen blinked at the mention of his ex-girlfriend and sighed, “No dude, we broke up a couple of weeks ago, it’s Jared who’s gonna be coming with me.”
“Oh shit man I’m sorry,” Chris paused for a few seconds and then asked in a strangely hesitant voice, “So Jared’s gonna be staying with you huh?”
Jensen shook his head frantically and then remembered he was on the phone and Chris couldn’t see him, “Oh no,” He had no intention of staying in the same house as Jared, that would just be tempting fate way too much and he was not going to let Jared know how he felt, “He’s just coming on the plane with me, we’re heading our own ways once we get to LA.”
“Right well good,” Chris said shortly.
“Why?” Jensen asked knowing there was something Chris wasn’t saying.
“Oh there’s just somewhere I want to take you…didn’t think it’d really be Jared’s scene,” Chris replied nonchalantly but Jensen figured there was something he was still hiding. He wasn’t going to press for details though.
“Alright, I’ll give you a call when I land,” He finished up the phone call and hung up opening the door to his trailer and tripping over his suitcase which he had stupidly left at the top of the steps, “Shit!”
“You alright?”
He sat up sharply at the voice from outside his trailer and asked stupidly, “What’re you doing here?”
Jared looked at him quizzically and bounded up the steps reaching down to help Jensen up, “I thought we were gonna go grab some food before we had to leave.”
Jensen groaned inwardly at the hot shiver that ran through his body when Jared held him close for that split second, “Oh yeah, sure.”
Jared peered at him worriedly, “You alright man? You look kinda flushed, are you ill?” The pada-paw came dangerously close to his forehead and he drew back sharply.
“Yeah I’m fine, just…give me a minute to get organised,” He rifled pointlessly through a couple of bags knowing his wallet was in his back pocket but he needed to get a few feet away from Jared to gather his thoughts. Jesus Christ he was so screwed.
“So what did Chris want?” Jared asked casually leaning against the doorframe and Jensen had to look away sharply to stop himself from blatantly running his eyes over that lean body.
“Just organising plans and stuff,” Jensen answered automatically still wondering what it was Chris wasn’t telling him and why he hadn’t wanted Jared coming.
“Right, so you coming or what?” Jared asked, already changing to subject to food, “I was thinking Chinese…or Indian? Or you know what, we could do Italian…”
“Dude, it’s not like we have much choice, it’s pretty much whatever’s in the catering tent,” Jensen said smirking at his friend as they left the trailer.
Jared shoved him playfully and Jensen managed to relax slightly as they eased back into the friendly banter he could handle.
